6. Sharing information with contractors
Montgomery & Sons currently focuses on investigation, diagnostic findings and recommendations.
Where remedial work is required, you may appoint your own contractor or ask us to introduce an independent contractor.
Where you request an introduction, we may share the minimum information reasonably necessary for that contractor to understand or quote for the work. This may include your contact details, property details, relevant photographs and relevant investigation findings.
Independent contractors are responsible for their own services and their own handling of personal information once provided to them.

- payment and accounting service providers;

- investigation records, reports, photographs, contractual correspondence and related customer records may normally be retained for up to six years after completion of the service where necessary for business records, insurance, accounting or the establishment or defence of legal claims; and
- financial records may be retained for longer where required by law or by HMRC.
Information may be retained for longer where a complaint, insurance matter, legal dispute or regulatory requirement makes this necessary.
